The specifications of the highly anticipated Huawei Nexus smartphone have been leaked online through a GeekBench database entry.
The GeekBench entry shows a Huawei device codenamed "angler" which features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and Google's upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The leaked entry also shows the benchmark scores of the upcoming device where it got a single-core performance score of 1156 and a multi-core score of 3641.
It's surprising that Huawei opted to use a Snapdragon 810 processor with the Huawei Nexus as the company is known to use its own Kirin processors for its high-end devices. The fact that it's a Nexus device could be one of the reasons they opted for the Snapdragon 810 processor instead of a Kirin one.
The other specifications of the Huawei Nexus include a 5.5-inch 2K resolution display, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C connector. The Huawei Nexus is expected to be officially unveiled at Google's upcoming press conference on September 29.
