Green Hill offers software solution for virtual systems
Green Hills Software is offering a real-time, fast-boot platform for securely combining consumer operating systems such as Linux, QNX, Android or Windows with safety- and security-critical software on 64-bit multicore processors.
The software is based on the outfit's the Multivisor virtualisation platform supports both ARM and Intel 64-bit architectures. It is currently being used in the automotive, medical, industrial and aerospace applications on 32-bit processors. Now the 64-bit processor support has been added it can combine a 64-bit Integrity microkernel with multicore system virtualization for configurable software partitions, real-time and safety-critical processing and hosting of one or more guest operating systems.
It also can use the hardware acceleration built in to the ARMv8-A architecture and Intel Virtualization Technologies (Intel VT-x and VT-d), for both 32- and 64-bit processors.
The company says it can offer maximum virtualization performance through hardware acceleration built in to the ARMv8-A architecture and Intel Virtualization Technologies (Intel VT-x and VT-d), for both 32- and 64-bit processors.
