Blackview is known for its beautiful clones and we have seen a couple of such clones from the company in the past few months. The latest offering from the company, the Blackview Ultra Plus borrows its design from the popular Apple iPhone 6S Plus. Since, looks wise, there's hardly any difference between the two devices, we decided to take a look at the specifications of the device. Of course, it won't be fair directly comparing the specs of the $700 iPhone with the $149 Blackview Ultra Plus, but the phone does have some decent specs to make it a competitive product in the price range.
First of all, in the processor department, the Blackview Ultra Plus features the MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor which powers many Chinese smartphones in the market right now. On the other hand, the iPhone comes with a much powerful A9 chip. However, in the RAM department, both the phones feature 2GB RAM. The base model features 16GB of internal storage on both the models, but only the Ultra Plus comes with a MicroSD card slot.
As for the display, the Blackview Ultra Plus sports a 5.5-inch HD 720p resolution display. On the other hand, the iPhone comes with a 5.5-inch screen with FHD resolution. In the camera department, the Blackview model features Sony IMX164 13MP (interpolated) rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. As for the iPhone 6S Plus, you will find a 12MP shooter at the back with 5MP front facing sensor. We expect the Blackview camera to be decent, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.
The Blackview Ultra Plus comes with a 7.8mm thick body, which is only 0.5mm thicker than the iPhone. However, to compensate for the extra thickness, you get a larger battery on the Blackview device, 3180mAh instead of 2750mAh on the iPhone. This coupled with the efficient processor should ensure better battery life on the Ultra Plus.
For software, the iPhone comes with iOS 9 while the Blackview model features Android 5.1 Lollipop version. You will find dual SIM card slots on the Ultra Plus, while the iPhone comes with a single Nano SIM slot. Unfortunately, you won't find a fingerprint sensor on the Blackview Ultra Plus.
Finally coming to the price, the Blackview Ultra Plus is way cheaper than an iPhone. It costs just $149 which turns out to be a pretty great deal if you are looking for an iPhone clone with decent performance. The Ultra Plus will be available in four colors, namely grey, gold, silver and rose gold. As of now, the phone is not available for purchase, but we will update you with more details in the coming days.
