Meizu has one more super-thin phone coming

Meizu has one more super-thin phone coming

Metal 2 or MX6

The leaked picture shows the thinnest Meizu phone that is just barely thicker than a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The MX5 is 7.6 mm thick and the new phone can be eve thinner than that. The leaked picture spotted at Gizchina.com shows a back face design that is rather similar to both Meizu MX5 and the Meizu Metal phones from 2015. Since we are aware that Meizu M2 Metal is around the corner, this might be the case of that phone.

A few weeks ago we wrote about the Meizu roadmap that contained seven phones and three of the phones from that list have already been launched with more or less same specification that matches the leak.

According to original leak, the Meizu M2 Metal phone has 5.5 inch 1920x1080 screen with LCD screen eMMc 5.1, mTouch 3.0, 3200 mAh battery. This phone gets the Helio X20 deca-core and 3GB RAM. It will start selling for 999 Yuan (137.35 EUR or $153.87) USD for 16GB, 1199 Yuan (164.85 EUR or $184.56 USD) for 32GB and 1499 Yuan (206.18 EUR or $230.70 USD) for 64GB. Getting a metallic high quality finished phone in this price range is amazing.

Since we saw some benchmark leaks of the unknown Meizu phone with Helio X20 SoC and 3GB RAM, one can assume this is either M2 Metal or theoretically an MX6. So far Meizu went quiet on the MX6 but it has already launched its Meizu Pro 6 phone with Helio X25 deca-core.
