To cost an arm and a leg
It appears that those who buy Samsung's flagship Galaxy S8+ will have to take good care of it as replacing the screen might be a big hit on their wallet.
While the Galaxy S8+ smartphone itself is not cheap at all at US $850 in the US and around €900 in most of Europe, it appears that taking care of the fancy new 6.2-inch 2960x1440 resolution AMOLED Infinity Screen should be a priority, since the replacement will be more expensive than on any other smartphone.
iFixit.com already gave the smartphone a low repairability score of 4 out of 10 , stating that due to the curved screen, it is extremely difficult to replace the front glass without destroying the dsiplay.
According to a Polish Android.com.pl site , replacing the screen at an authorized repair center will cost €250, a good 25 percent higher price when compared to the Galaxy S7 edge.
While the Gorilla Glass 5 might protect it, it is still not impossible to break the screen and this time around, repairing the screen costs as much as a decent mid-range smartphone.
